Trimester dates by course
There are three trimesters per calendar year. Each trimester lasts four months. Two trimesters are equal to one full academic year.

What is it like to study an MBA at Deakin?
What I love about the Master of Business Administration is that it gives you so many options. You get to try a little bit of every aspect of management. And coming from a non-traditional background wasn’t an issue at all. There were people from all different roles, different backgrounds so I felt very at home quickly.
Flexibility meant the opportunity to log on from wherever I was in the world, whenever I wanted. However, because the material was engaging and encouraged collaborative learning, I joined live as much as possible, enjoying this time with my peers.
Our students develop more sophisticated ways of thinking, to navigate uncertainty, manage large-scale change and lead with confidence. This is why so many of them move into C-suite and board positions, or drive major business transformations before they graduate.
The online environment was incredible, but the face-to-face opportunities were also very rich. While the philosophy might have come from that more corporate side of things, it was highly applicable to a non-corporate environment.
The Deakin MBA gave me the opportunity to use my own company as the basis of a lot of the assignments. This built significant value in the business by using proven theories to critique and redirect what we were doing wrong.
