Your career possibilities
Producer
Plan and oversee film, television or other media productions from development to distribution. You may coordinate creative teams, locations, schedules and budgets, pitch projects and support their promotion and release.
Creative Director
Lead the creative vision for screen and media projects, shaping visuals, messaging and design while guiding creative teams, budgets and timelines from concept through delivery.
Videographer
Plan, capture and edit video content for film, television, advertising and digital platforms, combining camera operation, storytelling and post-production skills to create engaging screen content.
Animator
Create 2D and 3D animation for film, television, digital media and other creative projects. Develop concepts, storyboards and visual sequences, then use specialist software to bring images and ideas to life.
Industry facilities
Deakin Studios includes a virtual production, TV, film and animation studio. You’ll get hands-on experience using professional equipment, including our camera motion control rig, grading and editing rooms, green screen studio, hand-drawn animation light boxes. We also have an outside broadcast van to support live broadcasting from sports events.

Trimester dates by course
There are three trimesters per calendar year. Each trimester lasts four months. Two trimesters are equal to one full academic year.
